Our best clients are our informed clients. We are happy and available to answer any questions you may have.

Here, we answer a few of our frequently asked questions:

Why choose ESANA Plastic Surgery Center & MedSpa?
First, there are important differences amongst providers of aesthetic services. Ideally, you should choose physicians who are recognized as board certified in a core aesthetic medical specialty recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties. This includes the American Board of Plastic Surgery. You have to be aware of the claims of “cosmetic surgeons” as there is no such recognized board. Also, be sure your practitioner for injectables is fully trained. The field is highly unregulated and your treatments may be done by physician assistants (PA’s), nurse practitioners (NP’s), registered nurses (RN’s) or other physicians who have training in fields other than plastic surgery. Also, you should make sure your treatment takes place in a facility that has a physician on staff and on premises whenever treatments are being performed. The best thing you can do is research whom you will entrust your care. At ESANA, both Dr. Deborah Pan and Dr. Javier Davila have successfully fulfilled the extremely stringent educational criteria and passed the written and oral examination process for board certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.

We have also won several awards for cosmetic surgery, medical spa, and laser hair removal. These have come from respected Connecticut publications including Connecticut Magazine and The New Haven Register.

Where are we?
We are located conveniently in downtown New Haven, with easy access from I-91 and I-95. For a map of our location, please click here. From all directions including I-95, please get to I-91 and get off Exit 3 (Trumbull Street). At the end of the ramp, take the first left at the light onto Orange Street. At the next cross street, you will turn left onto Audubon Street. Our office is the last building on the left, at the intersection of State Street. Please be aware that there is metered street parking only. Many meters have been converted to accept credit cards, but it is still a good idea to have some change available in case traditional meters are the only ones available. Audubon Street has the new meters, and we are located above Carmen Anthony’s Restaurant.

What can I expect when I arrive?
At your first appointment, we recommend arriving 15 minutes early to check in and fill out any additional paperwork. You can help speed the process by entering your demographic information here. Once your chart is processed, you will then meet your practitioner and any other staff who will be involved in your care. We do ask kindly that if possible, to leave small children at home as many clients come and expect a peaceful treatment. We also ask that mobile phones be turned to the vibrate setting to ensure uninterrupted care and services.
