Do you need a board-certified plastic surgeon to help you through your options regarding breast reconstruction?
No one wants to hear the “c” word. Luckily, technology has advanced such that women now have great choices for reconstruction to help them feel whole after the cancer battle they are about to fight.
Dr. Pan did my reconstruction surgery after I had a double mastectomy. She worked with my breast surgeon to schedule my surgery ASAP, so that I could be cancer-free by Christmas. Dr. Pan was always so patient and caring with me and my Mom during every appointment and really listened to our thoughts, feelings and concerns through the entire process. It’s been 1.5 years since my implant surgery and I am still getting compliments from other doctors during examinations, friends and family. Prior to my surgery I was barely an A cup and now I am a full B and love the way I look in clothes and no longer have to wear padded bras. I am so very blessed to have Dr. Pan as my surgeon and I look back on this experience with gratitude!

The Breast Reconstruction Procedure
The most common indication for breast reconstruction is their absence due to mastectomy surgery or a birth defect. Several methods are available depending on the patient’s desires, body type, further cancer treatment plans, and need for a speedy recovery. Tissue borrowed from other parts of the body can be used as well as implants to help restore the female silhouette.
