Face Lift

When you look in a mirror, do you always think time has gotten the best of you? Does it make you look older than you feel?

The Face Lift Procedure

A face lift, or rhytidectomy, involves removing excess facial skin and repositioning of fat in order to recreate a more youthful appearance and minimize wrinkles and jowls on the face and neck. The improvement can be subtle or dramatic based on the desires of the patient and how suitable his or her face is for this procedure.

For faces with only a mild degree of drooping or skin excess, a mini-lift may provide an option that will allow faster recovery while giving a noticeable benefit. Swelling and bruising is more limited than that seen after a full face lift. Within one week, most individuals will find themselves able to return to work and other activities.

Who is a good candidate for a facelift?

If you are concerned about wrinkles, creases, sagging jowls, sunken cheekbones and lines around your eyes and mouth, it may be time to consult with a board-certified CT surgeon to see if a facelift can give you the improvements you desire. Our cosmetic surgeons can show you how they will restore a more youthful look for your face and neck. You will also be able to review non-surgical options for rejuvenating the face and neck.

What should I expect after my surgery?

After your facelift, you should expect to see some swelling and bruising. We can prescribe pain medication if necessary. You will need to keep your head elevated for a couple days and will also need to avoid any exercise or cardio activity for 2 weeks.

How much is a face lift or mini-face lift?

The price of a face lift cannot be given until the surgeon meets with you for a consultation and can best determine the amount of work involved in this surgical procedure. After your cosmetic consultation, you will be given an individual plan and quote.
